I love long, intricate story books. Books such as White Fang or Hatchet. Something about them intrigues me to the point where I almost won’t put them down until I’m done. I absolutely love how much imagery is left to the reader when reading adventure and story books. I almost get attached to characters in good adventure books.

The Hatchet was one of my favorite books of all times. But I’m also a big “outdoors” girl. I wanted that adventure, the crash, the fight, all of it. I didn’t love the follow up’s “Brian’s Winter” was decent, but the Hatchet took the cake on the series.
